The Family Support Centre (FSC) continues to implement its strategic commitment to ensuring that survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) have access to essential, safe, secure, and survivor-centred services throughout Solomon Islands. As the lead implementing and managing organization, FSC is delivering the project “Women and Girls Accessing Essential, Safe and Secured GBV Services in Solomon Islands,” aimed at strengthening the availability, accessibility, and quality of GBV services across the country

Through this project, FSC is expanding its services to remote provinces and communities, strengthening local capacity, improving referral pathways, increasing awareness of women’s rights, and ensuring that women and girls affected by violence can access timely and appropriate support services.

FSC will work in partnership with targeted Provincial Governments, the National Disability Forum Solomon Islands (NDFSI), and key SAFENET members at both national and provincial levels to strengthen coordinated responses to gender-based violence. These partnerships will support service delivery, capacity building, survivor referrals, community awareness, and the development of sustainable mechanisms that improve access to quality GBV services for women and girls across targeted provinces and communities.

The project is managed and implemented by the Family Support Centre (FSC) with funding support from the United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women (UNTF).

To effectively implement this project, FSC invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to join its team in their newly established Provincial Branches (Temotu & Isabel) and two of its provincial committees (Choiseul & Western).
